“Easter"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"1 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.
9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.
“And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.” - Mark 15:46

What put Jesus on the cross? Was it the Roman soldiers just doing their job? Was it the religious leaders of the day, accusing Jesus of being a false teacher, a blasphemer, etc.?
Yes, they played their part. Just as Judas Iscariot did in betraying Jesus. Each person and each part was pivotal in completing His mission - to redeem us.
The most powerful thing that led Jesus to perform such a difficult, brutal feat was His great love for us. Despite our wretched ways, our sinful desires, and our rebellious nature against God, our Creator, Jesus knew He must endure the cross to offer us salvation.

“Palm Sunday"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
Would you recognize the Messiah? Many religious leaders of Jesus' day did not. They believed he was a blasphemer and a false teacher. They sought to denounce Him and His followers and when His ministry continued to grow, they sought to kill Him.
Some of His day knew Him, though. They worshipped Him the Sunday before His ministry's final hours by using palms to honor His entrance into Jerusalem. Pastor explores this on today, Palm Sunday.

“Depart from me, said Jesus!"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Is your house built on the solid rock of Jesus Christ? Do you have a relationship with Him? The three most scary words for a self-professed Christian would have to be, "depart from me", as Jesus tells us in this passage that many will profess to know Him but will not.
Some points that our Pastor brings to this message: religious language does not mean relationship; spiritual activity is not proof of salvation (some of these activities may impress people, but it doesn’t impress God); Jesus judges based on relationships not reputations.
So, do you know Him? Is your faith and trust in His finished work on the cross? Have you repented, earnestly, of your sins and actively turn from them in reliance to His work? If you haven't, today is the day to make sure.

“Last Days"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
There are many signs that we are in the last moments before the coming of the Lord; first for the rapture of His church, then for the great tribulation, and finally the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to setup His kingdom for His millennial reign.
Pastor explores some of the biblical evidence for our world revealing God's plans through prophesy that we are in the last days... there are so many verses to show that we are close. Through deceptions and propaganda, satan is setting up the path for his own person to represent his power - the antichrist. Do you see the signs? Pastor explores this in today's message.

Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” - Matthew 4:17

“About Esther"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
7 And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
There are many things in this world that can draw us towards anger and frustration. The Lord can help us if we ask of Him. He tells us to not allow our anger to tempt us towards evil or sin.
Sometimes our plans turn on ourselves - often if we believe we are getting away with something that is sinful.
"You can count on the devil wanting to expose your sins."
Pastor explores this in today's message.
Just as you cannot expect to harvest a different crop than you plant,
you also cannot expect to sow hatred, malice, or contempt
and yield a crop of kindness and goodness.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever
a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” - Galatians 6:7

“As a Little Child"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them."
Do you trust the Lord as a little child? We should have faith and trust in Him to help us with all things. Often, we rely on our own abilities and understanding. This is when we cause our lives to become more difficult because we cannot do it alone.
We need to be teachable, mild, not stubborn, willing to obey our Heavenly Father. We need to come to Him as a little child. Pastor explores this in today's message.

he may exalt you in due time:” - 1 Peter 5:6

“Why Christianity is Hated"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
Why is following the Lord Jesus Christ so divisive? Why do people hate His followers so much? Jesus told us that, "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." [v.18] Why did He give us this warning? Because He knew that following Him would carry a heavy burden. Because He is the truth. Not a truth. Not my truth. THE TRUTH.
And the truth is hated in a world full of lies and deception. Many people follow satan - not out of willingness or purpose - out of pure ignorance. Tragically, just as Jesus said of those crucifying them, they know not what they do.
Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? We pray that you do. If you do, please be bold for Him as He laid His life down for us - it's really the least we can do.
“For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning,
that we should love one another.” - 1 John 3:11

“Eternal Heaven or Eternal Hell!"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
Our confidence and faith should be in the truth and finished work of Jesus Christ. God has done so much for our benefit - and in mercy despite our fallen state.
Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If you do, do you spread the good news of Jesus Christ with others?
We have a choice - eternal heaven or eternal hell - we all deserve hell; however, we are saved by God's grace in giving us salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Repent; trust in Him; He is returning soon.

“Real Hope"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 (A Song of degrees.) I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."
Have courage
Have patience
Labor for the Lord
Trust in God
Our path in life is not easy. However, there is realhope in Jesus Christ. Do you know Him as your Savior?
Our lives all come to an end one day. What will you do with Jesus Christ...?

“Is That Your Final Answer?"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
What will you do with Jesus Christ? Will you accept Him as your personal Savior? Will you reject Him? Will you act indifferently towards Him? We all have a choice to make in this life.
Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Him [John 14:6].
