"The Rest of Our Lives"

“1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

1 Peter 4:1-11

“What will you do with the rest of your life for the Lord Jesus Christ?”

“That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the
flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.”
1 Peter 4:2

Do you deny your flesh? We are all drawn by a longing to serve our flesh and our fleshly desires. When you get saved, the Holy Spirit helps to sanctify you against the fleshly desires of this world.

If you are saved and you want to serve the Lord, you only have the rest of your life to do it. Now is the time to listen to the Holy Spirit. Pastor Doctor explores this in today’s sermon.

Notable quotes:

“satan works on the five senses; they’re all fleshly.”

“With His Holy Spirit in us, we can do things for God.”

“If you’re gonna do something for the Lord, now is the time.”

“If you’re not saved this morning, what in the world are you waiting for?”

Folks, I am sharing some thoughts on what the Bible has been warning us about for many years that would happen some day! I believe that time is VERY near!

The next Scriptural event that will soon happen is the Rapture of the Church, which means those that are truly born-again, saved believers will be caught up and meet Jesus!

... The inspiration of the Bible

... The Trinity of God

... The virgin birth of Jesus Christ

... The blood atonement by Christ

... The bodily resurrection of Christ from the dead

... The justification of unsaved by faith

... The person and work of the Holy Spirit

... The call of each believer to spiritual maturity of holiness of life

... The Biblical command to separate unto God from apostasy

... The security of the believer by the power of God

... The personal and imminent return of Christ

... The evangelizing of the unsaved in all the world

Our Purpose

It is our purpose to help people build better lives that will honour and glorify God, and to see them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through:

"For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west;

so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:27

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.Matthew 24:7
