“Waiting, waiting, waiting…”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.”
Do you come to the Lord Jesus with your requests and thoughts? Do you ask Him for forgiveness for the things you do wrong, in humble adoration of His finished work on the cross for your sins?
Do not doubt the Lord. Trust in Him to answer your prayers just like the woman in today’s message.

“Are You A Committed Disciple Of Christ?"
by Missionary Jason Windnagle
“25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot e my disciple.
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
Guest speaker Missionary Jason Windnagle explores how him and his wife, Carrie, were called into the mission field exploring the struggle that servicemen and women face within their service such as alcohol addiction and other spiritual warfare.
In today's message, Brother Windnagle explores the service and love that we should have for our Lord. Do you serve the Lord above all else? Do you love the Lord, Jesus, above all else? The Lord calls us to serve and love Him - above our families, above ourselves, above all else. Do you?
Jason and Carrie will be serving the Lord near the Kunsan Airforce Base in South Korea at Haven Baptist Church.

“Jesus Christ The Same Yesterday, and Today, and Forever"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
Jesus Christ is the King of kings, the Lord of lords. The Almighty. The great I Am. Do you know Him?
The Revelation of Jesus Christ gave us a lot of information about Jesus - who He is today and who He will be for us in the coming time after the rapture of the church and His return.
Who is Jesus Christ to you?
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“Leonardo DaVinci, you've heard of him before? He was a painter, wasn't he... for those that might remember those things. He said this, a matter a fact he took a friend to criticize his masterpiece of The Last Supper. The remark from the friend was, 'The most striking thing in the picture is the cup.' Leonardo, he took his brush and wiped off the cup in the picture. He says, 'Nothing in my painting shall attract more attention than the face my Master.' "

“Death Is Certain"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.”
What will your gravestone read? Will it be a funny thought, a quote you love, a verse from scripture? No matter what is on it, the fact is - we all will face death. Death is certain.
Adam [v. 5], Seth [v. 8], Enos [v. 11], Cainan [v. 14], Mahalaleel [v. 17], Jared [v. 20], Enoch [v. 24 (not dead but ascended to heaven)], Methuselah [v. 27], and Lamech [v. 31] all died.
Are you prepared for death? It is inevitable for each of us. The Bible says it is our wages for our sin [Romans 6:23]. How can you prepare? Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Do you know Him?
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“No matter how long we live, we are going to die. And we have to be ready for that.”
“Life is as certain as grass in the field.”
“Regardless of the length of our lives, it passes away quickly. Life is short.”
“The old die but the young may die, too. Are you ready?”
“A spiritual death is when someone doesn’t get saved.”
“No more death when we get up there! Amen?”
"And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil;
for our lamps are gone out." - Matthew 25:8

“Be Ready"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
When the Lord Jesus Christ comes in for His bride, will you be ready? Is your oil full? Be wary to get caught unaware, needing to buy oil while the Lord comes. Jesus says: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:22-23)
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“The foolish virgins, especially in this story, are the people who claim to be Christians, but they’re really not.”
“We, as brothers and sisters in Christ, want to be together and join in worship of Him.”
“They were religious but they were lost. By the way, it has nothing to do with denomination. Or anything like that.”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
